Depending on students' choice there a two options :

Option 1: Fast track
• completion within six weeks
• strict timetables throughout the seminar
• final paper due 15.6.2020
• enables working on the thesis through the summer
• recommended to those who have an idea of the thesis and/or those willing to work hard with a set timetable.

Option 2: Slow track
• completion during the summer (about 14 weeks)
• strict timetables for assignment 1-3
• final paper 31.8.2020
• enables starting thesis first thing in September when semester 2020-2021 starts

Learning Outcomes (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020): 

This course introduces students to the MSc thesis process. The aim of the MSc thesis seminars is to provide the students with the knowledge and skills necessary for writing a high-quality Master’s Thesis. The seminars assist the student in structuring their thesis work, and provide a supportive forum to discuss issues relevant to the different stages of research.

Content (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020): 

The MSc Thesis Seminar provides an overview of the thesis process. Students will be introduced to the different sections of the thesis and will produce a professional research proposal at the end of the seminar. The MSc thesis seminar comprises of three compulsory introductory sessions, one-on-one meetings with an assigned personal supervisor, and one voluntary progress seminar in which students present their work and give feedback to others.
