After taking the course, the student will be able to

  • know and identify the most important physical and chemical properties of various biomass and biofuels related to combustion and energy conversion
  • recognize and understand various combustion and other energy conversion technologies needed for the use of bioenergy in power generation and transport
  • calculate and evaluate the most important combustion technology parameters in boilers and engine combustion
