    Investigation of a functional material related scientific/technical research problem given by the supervisor: student design the work with the supervisor, performs the experimental part, analyses the results and writes a repor in a scientific style. Variable topics offered by responsible teachers.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    Individual project and written report: the performance and independency in the lab, ability to keep up with the agreed timetable and the report affect the grade.

    The timetable and more detailed content of the project is agreed with the supervisor of the work.

    However, the work should be performed and final report submitted within 1-4 months from the start of the work and no later than 31st July.

  • Applies in this implementation:

    Please, familiarize yourself to the detailed evaluation criteria in MyCourses (matrix).

    Also, familiarize yourself on the report format as there are also hints what is expected of the extended report of your work.

  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    Individual project 135 h (5 cr) or 270 h (10 cr): includes experimental work, manuscript workshop and analsying and reporting teh results.

    The work should be performed and final report submitted within 1-4 months from the start of the course and no later than 31st July.

    The division between report writing, reading the scientific papers and working in laboratory varies depending on the topic.

    Discuss about this in the first meeting with your supervisor.
