Assessment Methods and Criteria (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020):

Execution: Lectures + exercises + individual design assignment

Assessment methods and criteria: Accepted design assignment

Elaboration of the evaluation criteria and methods, and acquainting students with the evaluation (applies in this implementation):

You
must submit a report on the design assignment. Since the assignment has been
accepted you have passed the course.

Grading
of the assignment is based on the following criterion

- Content,
i.e. how well have you solved design tasks
- Look
- Formulation
- Language

Grading
scale: 0-5

You
cannot get highest grade 5 if you skip some part in the design assignment.

If I
get two (or
more) similar final reports, I will pick up one name and this student get the
grade and the others will fail the course.

Workload (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020):

Lectures 22h (1x2h)

Exercises 14h (1x2h)

Individual studying 99h

Study Material (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020):

Virtual learning environment KnowPulp and KnowPap + other additional material

Details on the course materials (applies in this implementation):

The
material for the course include sections from the KnowPulp- and
KnowPap-learning environments. The
environments are accessed via http://know.aalto.fi, if
you are on a computer
connected to the Aalto University's network,
or via http://libproxy.aalto.fi and log in
with your own username and password. You find these and more
information on KnowPulp and KnowPap on
MyCourses under the title “ Course home page”.
