LEARNING OUTCOMES
This course provides students with the basic understanding of the processes
and practices through which strategy is implemented in organizations. Students will learn the basic
principles for facilitating strategy implementation through leadership, communication, and
organizational design. We will familiarize the students with how strategy implementation is intertwined with organizational identity and culture. We will also address strategy implementation topics such as resistance to change, politics and open strategizing.

Content

This course familiarizes the students with the practice and implementation of strategy in
multinational corporations and smaller entrepreneurial firms. The students will gain a realistic
perspective to practices, routines and challenges related to strategy implementation through case
studies, guest lectures, and group assignments.
