The doctoral candidate
- has knowledge of the content of doctoral studies and forms of dissertation
- is introduced to research work and to concepts of presenting your research
- can identify the basic tools of a researcher, basic methodologies and forms of research in the research fields of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture
- can identify ethical issues related to artistic research
- has a personal study plan and a supervision plan
Content (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020):
The course consists of an intensive week of seminars, lectures and visitor talks. Possible topics introduced: research ethics, methodologies overview, research skills, forms of dissertation, research areas in the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, career issues, artistic research etc.
Participants are expected to present their research idea and participate in the discussions.
Assessment Methods and Criteria (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020):
Active participation, 80% presence required, 1 ECTS
Personal study plan, supervision plan and research abstract, 1 ECTS
