After the course the student

  • can identify and separate the most important ideal mechanisms of polymerisations
  • is able to explain basics of initiation and catalysis
  • is able to explain the formation of polymer structures and ways to affect them
  • can apply theories of step and chain polymerizations
  • is able to use theory of copolymerization

Content (valid 01.08.2018-31.07.2020): 

The course deepens the knowledge in the field of polymer synthesis, purification and analysis. Polymerisation mechanisms, stepwise synthesis of branched polymers and biological synthesis of biopolymers are discussed.
