Details on the course content (applies in this implementation):

During this
3 week workshop we explore relationship between body, mind, time and space. Through
a series of practical exercises we aim to untangle rigid structures of mind and
examine how body affects perception of time and space. References will be from life
and art, as a foundation for exploring how we perceive the world, and give
expression.

PART I

Habits of
mind taint perception?

Through exercises
we build a foundation with the aim to move away from words and establish a more
direct relationship to experience and perception. Focus on mind and senses in
relation to time and space.

PART II

In a
perforated reality where does communication start?

Contrast to
the first weeks focus on the internal experience of perception, this week will
focus on the relationship to the external.

We will
continue practical movements and reflect on these experiences in relation to
the outside world. We will develop a work as a response to our findings.

PART III

We will
further develop a work to be presented as an action/situation/gesture. With the
understanding of action as communication before word based language became a
central to our thinking process. We will explore the potential for learning
through communication with non human receiver. We will examine action as
intervention in public space, the possibilities for communication in unexpected
situations.
