CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    Groups of students design and develop game prototypes and games, 3 games in total. To support this, weekly tutoring from teachers is provided and some lectures on relevant themes like game production. Also game idea pitching is part of the course, and making marketing materials like a trailer.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    The course is assessed based on the games themselves and a process of self- and peer evaluation between the different group members.

Workload
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    Requires commitment for the whole academic year - making three games is time consuming. Includes times of teaching at the university, but much of the work is organized by the group and done according to the agreed plan on own time. Up to 69h of contact teaching. 70h-470h of group work making the games on own time. Students' final credits are based on the hours used.
