CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

Students design a collection of knitted fabrics based on artistic expression and realize them with the use of hand-flat knitting machines. With the help of the artistic assignments students become familiar with designing the color, pattern and structure of knitted fabrics and implementation techniques of knitwear. In addition to designing and producing samples, students practice analysing and marking knitted structures, as well as familiarize themselves with various yarn materials. Technical details of each fabric are documented in product cards.

Learning activities: Lectures, demonstrations and other contact teaching, supervised assignment, individual and group tutoring, independent work and critiques.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

Grading criteria: Assignments and participation in teaching

Criteria for the assignment: Understanding of knitted structures, artistic application of learned techniques in own collection, creativity of samples, collection coordination, documentation of technical data on info cards.
