LEARNING OUTCOMES

after successfully completing this course, students should be able to:

  • Continue development of an existing concept to add maturity still keeping the essence of the original idea..
  • Plan and execute prototypes and their development of a conceptual design to a validated concept level, demonstrating a strong design intent.
  • Perform assessment of a design in multiple dimensions, including manufacturability, and sustainability related impact of conceptual decisions.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    The course has a lecture and workshop series, that supports a team design projects starting from an existing design concept which then is iteratively developed to more mature design. Students will use various physical and digital models to develop and evaluate projet.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • Valid 01.08.2020-31.07.2022:

    The evaluation is based on student activenes, execution of several subtasks, quality of the product concept, and final presentation. Self-evaluation and peer evaluation is also used.
