On a successful completion of the course, the student

understands the principal and practical meaning of Helsinki School activities, its purpose and role in the program of photography unit.

has basic knowledge on different agents in the international art world, like markets, gallery system, art fairs and museums.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    During the course the student gets basic knowledge on different agents of international art world, like market, gallery system, art fairs and museums. The course also introduces Helsinki School as an educational, internationalizing and exhibition tool.

    Students recieve feedback on their photographic projects.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    The course is assessed based on active participation in the course (80 % attendance minimum) and on the independent work. 

    This course is possible to complete alternatively as an independent study. Agree on an independent study method with your academic advisor. Independent study is assessed based on a written assignment and related literature.

Workload

    Compulsory participation in lectures and seminar. Independent work.
