LEARNING OUTCOMES
During the course the students will learn to understand and study their environment through an artistic and experimental approach. Students learn to put this approach into perspective of their own fields of studies and practices. The emphasis of the course will be on the mechanism of pressure systems in our urban environment and on the concrete and circumstantial influence they have on our actions.

Content

During the course the student will be made acquainted with systems of pressure form a physical (mechanical), social, experimental and artistic point of view. Examining one concrete pressure system, the distribution of water in an urban surrounding (ie. Espoo and Helsinki water towers), leads to philosophical, experimental, artistic, social, political and juridical questions in connection to water, ownership, pressure, aesthetics and justice.
The course consists of lectures, hands on , experimental workshops, excursions and independent working processes. There will be an exhibition in the end of the course.
