CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    Department of Design Thematic Research Seminar addresses annually varying methodological and/or theoretical themes of design research. It gives knowledge and hands-on experience in the chosen focus area and deals with good skills and practices in academic discourse and argumentation. Thematic seminar is organized as a one-week intensive workshop consisting of presentations, reading academic texts, assignments, demonstrations and experimentations. It typically requires preparatory work and associated readings.

    Max 25 students, priority to 1st and 2nd year department of design doctoral candidates

    The course can be substituted by design reserach relevant doctoral summer schools and similar seminars organized by other schools or academic institutions.

    Department of Design Thematic Seminar teachers propose seminars to the dept. Head, Head of Research and Head of Education for approval to run this course.
