LEARNING OUTCOMES

In successfully completing the course, students should be able deliver and present a thesis which fulfill the bachelor thesis requirements at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture.

CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Students prepare a bachelor thesis on a subject suitable for their major studies throughout the course. Students are supported in their thesis work through seminars and supervision meetings. The seminars are organized to support students in acquiring and structuring information for their thesis as well as synthesizing and formulating it according to established principles for academic research and communication.

    Students present their thesis in the bachelor thesis seminar which takes place at the end of the course.

Assessment Methods and Criteria

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Students must deliver requireed presentations and reports as well as attend and display active participation in at least 80% of seminars and supervision meetings to pass the course. 

Workload

  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    The total workload for the course amounts to 270 hours (1 ECTS credit = 27 hours).

    •  Presentations and concluding bachelor thesis seminar 10 hours

    •  Giving course feedback 1 hour

    Only open for major students in English-medium BA program in Design 

    A minimum of 10 students are required for running the course.
