CONTENT, ASSESSMENT AND WORKLOAD

Content

    The course includes the development of a design project responding to a given brief, which can be done in collaboration with an external partner. The course is taught via lectures, workshops and industry visits. Students are familiarized with collection development in industrial contexts, sample development processes as well as practices such as collaborating in professional teams. Students learn how to articulate, communicate and argue for their work in a professional context.

    The course is recommended to be combined with one of the advanced workshop courses: MUO-E1062 Advanced Knits and Knitwear Workshop, MUO-E1063 Advanced Printed Fabrics and Finishes workshop, MUO-E1065 Woven Fabrics and Jacquards Workshop. MUO-E1061 Advanced 3D shaping workshop. The selection should be based on the student's personal study plan approved by their academic advisor.

Assessment Methods and Criteria
  • valid for whole curriculum period:

    Passing the course requires attending 80% of contact teaching sessions and completion of all individual and group assignments. Introductory session is mandatory.
