In this course, students form groups (3-5 students each) who are
assigned a set of network data to work on. During the course, assisted
by the teachers, the groups first design a research plan, and then study
the data, presenting their results to the other groups and teachers in
get-together sessions where everyone can give feedback and come up with
further research ideas.
There will be six four-hour sessions at approximately 2 week intervals, held in computer classrooms:
to the course. Presentations of project topics by the teachers. Forming
student groups. Data management.
Presentations of research plans by groups. Feedback and ideas. Beginning work on the data, assisted by teachers. Short tutorial on Git.
Presentations of research results by groups. Feedback and ideas. Adjustment of research plans.
Final presentations, wrapping up results. Feedback to teachers.
