In order to pass this course, you have to submit four first homework assignments on time - THIS IS COMPULSORY. If you do not submit your homework assignments on time, you will automatically get 0 points from the exam, and you fail the course.
There are five homework assignments and the four first ones are compulsory. The deadline for submitting your solutions for the first homework assignment is on 20.10. at 14.00. Submit your solution for the first assignment before that!
For the four first homework assignments, if
1) you submit your solutions on time and your solution is very well done and carefully written: You get 1 point.
2) you submit your solutions on time, but there are some small errors or your solution is not well-written: You get 0 points (but your solution is accepted).
3) you submit your solutions on time, but it is poorly done: You will be given one week time to redo the assignment If then, with extra time, your solution is well done, you will get 0 points (but your solution is accepted)..
4) you fail to submit on time or your solution is very badly done (for example you submit an empty paper): you fail the homework assignment and thus you fail the course.
The last fifth homework assignment is not compulsory. If you wish to get more points, you can complete the fifth homework assignment as well. If you submit your solutions for the fifth problem on time and your solution is very well done and carefully written, you get 1 point. Otherwise you get directly 0 points from the fifth problem. However, note that this fifth assignment is not compulsory --- the four first ones are!
If you receive a point from each first five homework assignments --- that is five points as total -- you get an extra point.
Note that attendance to exercises is not compulsory, but it is highly recommended. If you attend the exercise classes, it is reasonably straightforward for you to complete your compulsory homework assignments. Otherwise it can be difficult. However, if you are very familiar with doing statistical analyses using R, you can skip the exercise classes or just attend some of them.
Please install R studio to your laptop and take your laptop with you to the exercises, if possible. (It could be that we run out of computers, if everyone attends the exercise classes.)
