Week 1: 3courses + Group Work
The first session of the WAT-E1010 course takes place on Monday 12.9 at 9-16 at AaltoCHEM Learning Hub (see main page).
During the morning session, we will introduce you to the concept of 3courses (WAT-E1010, WAT-E1020, WAT-E1030) as well as the different group work activities that you will carry out during those courses in Period I. We will also discuss about the group work practicalities and the different roles people take during group work. To get you starting with your project work, you will also get an introduction to project work practices.
During the afternoon session, you will work in your groups to get to know your entire group and to set up the general rules of work for your group.
Lecture slides from the first-ever session of the first-ever 3courses on Monday 12.9.2016 (updated 15.9).

SuLiTest (Sustainability Literacy Test): step by step instructions
You can use this forum to discuss general stuff related to your group's work as well as to inform others about your activities (forum is visible to anyone from Aalto visiting these pages.)
As a first step, upload the joint roles of your group to the discussion forum by starting a new discussion with title "Group X: group rules". X can be your group's name or number. After, you can include the rules as text to the thread or as a separate file.
If you missed the first 3courses session on Monday 12.9, you have to compensate your absence by writing a 500-1000 word reflection on the session theme i.e. group work and group work roles.
To do this, read first the Lecture Slides and check particularly the parts about group work (including its five phases) and group work / team work roles. After, write your reflection on the topic, sharing your personal views and experiences on group work and your role in it. You can e.g. give some examples about past group work that was successful / not-succesful, and analyse why this was the case.
Submit your reflection to this Discussion Forum by Adding a new discussion topic with a subject 'Your name: reflection on XXX', where XXX describes the theme of your reflection. You can attach your reflection as a separate document or write it directly as a text.
Note that your submission is visible to anyone with Aalto email address visiting these pages.
