Write fieldnotes from your practical exercise (wardrobe inventory, street audit, an object interview about an item of clothing or a place-based interview, to deepen the pre-course task). Write field notes that another person would be able to make use of.
Try to condense the important points within no more than 4 pages.
In addition to including the necessary co-ordinates and descriptive elements, you can consider including thoughts on the following questions:
1) Consider if any choice you made about how to carry out the exercise shaped the process or results. (E.g. did you interview a friend about their clothes in their bedroom or somewhere else? Did the medium of note taking influence things?)
2) What insights did you gain from the exercise both in terms of learning about the object of research and about the process. If there were surprises, review these.
