Assignments: Assignments will all be announced here. You can expect there to be work due at each exercise session. Problems will be a combination of routine calculation type questions as well as longer more in depth questions. It is a good idea to work on some of the harder problems during the exercise sessions so you can find the difficulties and get hints.
Grading policy: The grade for the course will be determined by either
(1) Homework (40%). Announced in-class exam and/or quizzes (10%). Final course examination (50%) on 12.12.2017
(2) Final course examination (100%) on 12.12.2017
Attendance: While not compulsory, it can not be stressed strongly enough that attendance of lecture and exercise sessions is extremely important.
