The seminar is held in period V (9.4.-21.5.) on Mondays from 14-18 (+ homework). More details later. The seminar is 5 study credits and requires full participation. There is a limit of 20 students for this course so please enrol only if you really want to take the course.
This seminar is about facilitating lean, agile, and design thinking inside teams and organisations. The teaching is targeted for people who want to have the skills to help teams, organisations and individuals understand better the tools and mindset of Lean Startup, Design Thinking, and Agile methodology. Such skills are required, for example, in innovation leadership, digital transformation of organisations, and multi-disciplinary product/service development.
The seminar has a strong focus on hands-on facilitation in a workshop environment. Therefore, the participants will also learn skills, tips and tricks of basic design sprint and workshop type of facilitation.
The seminar assumes that the participants are familiar with the basic methods and tools of service design and principles of agile team work. The seminar will use Lean Service Creation (www.leanservicecreation.com) as a framework of methods and thinking.
The course is taught by Risto Sarvas, who has in the past seven years facilitated change in a variety of organisations on many levels: as a personal mentor, as a design team leader, and as an external coach for whole organisations. His experience ranges from building new business and offering, to hands-on workshopping practices.
