3. The place for all the future lectures will change to the room R038/V002, based on the results of poll (33 vote for change [89.1%], 4 voted against the change) on March 21.
4. As confirmed with lecturer, there is no need to bring your laptop for the lecture on March 25.
5. A reduced version of lecture slides from Mr. Kari Harkonen is now available in MyCourse with sensitive information removed by Kari.
FYI, Aalto seems to purchase the access to Microsoft Power BI, a BI application similar to IBM Cognos, (see. https://it.aalto.fi/instructions/microsoft-office-365-services, access the app at: app.powerbi.com via Aalto credential) .
Whilst Power BI is not taught in the course, it would be nice to learn it by yourself and include this skill in your CV.
Lectures will be always on Mondays or Wednesday. However, in week 10, there will be no lecture onMarch6(Wednesday), but there will be a lecture on March 7(Thursday).
Please establish your group of 3-5 members for big assignment (Cognos challenge) by March20 (3-5 members) and inform Tiilikainen Sanna <firstname.lastname@example.org> about that. Contact Sanna if you have difficulty to form a group.
Deadline for submitting your learning diary is April 9.
If you choose to take exam, please confirm with the lecturer (email@example.com) about your exam question by April 1, 3 pm. Note that, if the topic is not appropriate, you will have to find another topic.
Challenge or big assignment will be announced on April 12.
Deadline to submit your assignment report and video is April 24.
Final competition event will be on April 26 (best 6 teams) probably at IBM office Helsinki (to be decided). Final challenge eventis voluntary, which has no effect on the course grading.
