    • In order to complete the course you must either take the final exam or write a learning diary. Those taking the exam, can choose their own topic on which you wish to write an essay. That is, you do not have to read the course book from cover to cover. Rather, I want you to take responsibility and ownership of your own learning.

Therefore, you must think of the exam from your point of view and fit the exam topic around your education or hobbies. For example, if you are studying finance, you may select a topic on how BI supports risk management. If you are studying marketing, you may select a topic on how to effectively analyze customer feedback. If you are interested in football, you may think of the analysis methods that help develop footballers. Anything goes, as long as the topic relates to BI and comes with a question that you intend to answer. Please read carefully the Exam Rubric for more information on the exam and the process.

Before taking the exam, you must provide your topic proposition before April 1, 2019 at 3 PM. You may do this by sending an email to Yong Liu. Without having a confirmation you cannot take the exam. Note also that you cannot choose a topic that someone else has already chosen. Please see below for the selected topics. If you are having trouble choosing a topic, see the topics from last year (do not choose an identical topic though) or contact Yong Liu
