Welcome
to the amazing journey of the world of Circular Economy.
On this course - students are challenged to develop new business opportunities and
solutions for Circular Economy. During the course the students learn how
different technical choices will effect on the application footprint and
customer experience.
The course is supported by
European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)
on the field of Raw Materials.
The course consist of workshops and events provided by experts from
different perspectives. In addition, the students will
solve a circular economy related challenge of their choice
in multidisciplinary teams - designing a new solution.
In 2018, the teams designed an alternative to disposable headphones (used on flights),
a greener washing machine, a new way of recycling batteries and modifiable shoes.
We are looking forward to the innovations of the 2019 teams!
We will also have an excursion to Kuusakoski Recycling facilities in Heinola on
Wed 20.3. (charter bus leaving Otaniemi at 12:00 -> back in Otaniemi at 6 pm)
