Weekly exercise sessions: Thursdays 12.15 - 14.00 and Mondays 14.15 - 16.00 in Maari C-D.
The first exercise session: 1.11.2018. The first session includes a Matlab/simulink demo, which is useful if you are not familiar with the software.
On the Thursday session, in the beginning one of the assistants discusses the answers and correct solution methods for the previous exercise round referring to the model solutions document with the students who show interest in this. The others may start solving the following round tasks. The course assistant will be present to answer your questions and to help if needed.
The Monday session is intended completely for solving the exercises supported by the course assistants. The first Mondays's exercise session is on November the 5th.
DL for the exercise solutions is the next week's Tuesday 10 o'clock. Your solutions can be written in English, Finnish or Swedish. Model solutions for these exercises are published immediately after the DL. Therefore, your exercise solutions must be submitted in MyCourses before 10:00. Late submisissions will not be accepted.
Getting at least 50 % of the total weekly exercise points is required to pass the course.
Participating in the exercise sessions is recommended but not mandatory. Depending on your skills the exercises may be difficult and laborious and thus it is recommended to start solving them rather sooner than later. If you get stuck, it is encouraged to participate in the exercise sessions to get help. Teamwork is recommended, but everyone must make their own solutions and manage finally the course exam independently. Plagiarism is forbidden and is monitored.
Below is a chart that shows how much time exercise rounds took on average last year.
The exercises and their solutions will be added in this page.
