Topic outline

  • The Evaluating Interactions (EIx) Course takes place between 25.2- 5.4. Lectures are scheduled on Mondays (9.15-12.00, 13:15-15:00, 15:15-17:00) and Fridays (13:15-15:00, 15:15-17:00) in room Q202 of the Väre building.

The first part of this course (weeks 9-11) consists of lectures, in-class exercises, as well as individual and group work. For our first session on Monday 25.2, please read chapters 1, 2, 7, and 8 of the book Interaction Design by Preece et al. (2015). Several copies of this book are available at the University library. Please note the order of authors and chapter numbers vary depending on the book's edition (e.g., Rogers et al. 2011; Sharp et al. 2007; Preece et al. 2002). I will include a couple of chapters in PDF under materials for convenience.

    • Preece, J., Rogers, Y., & Sharp, H. (2015). Interaction design: beyond human-computer interaction. John Wiley & Sons.

In the second part of this course (weeks 12-14), we will be working with company partner ABB who will provide an assignment where you will evaluate a working UI prototype provided by them. This assignment will include a site visit to ABB.

    See you soon!
