Academic Advising
An Academic Advisor (AA) is assigned to each incoming student. The Advisors are faculty members such as professors, senior lecturers or lecturers. The AA system is meant to contribute in two ways. In general, it gives an extra interface to the academic life by introducing the student to a faculty member (“mentor”). In particular, when a student must make personal choices (minors, BSc thesis, international mobility, other personal curriculum issues, working life questions, career options…) it offers an opportunity to get informal advice and further pointers to the support networks and actors present.
