DOING THE HOMEWORK. You are allowed and encouraged to work together with your fellow students on the homework problems, and you can get help from the course staff at lectures and the weekly tutorial sessions. However, you must write up your final solutions to the homework problems by yourself, without written notes from such background discussions.
You can earn bonus credit points from solved homework problems (the detailed grading scheme is presented on the introductory course slides). In order to get credit for a problem, you need to be present at a tutorial session where this problem is being discussed, mark the problem as solved on the signup sheet for that session, and be available to present and discuss your solution if called. Credit is awarded for a serious (and documented) attempt at solving the problem, even if the solution turns out not to be perfectly correct.
