Exam
Instructions and reminders for the final exam, which is scheduled on Thursday 20th of February 2020:
- If you cannot attend, let us know ASAP and we'll schedule an additional date.
- The study materials are in the following folders, in the Materials section: Lectures, Slides by the students, Essays by the students. Keep an eye on the Slides and the Essays for content updates.
- The exam is composed of three sections:
- A short section (5 questions that require a one-line answer, 1 pt each)
- A long section (3 questions that require a ten-lines answer, 5 pts each)
- A comprehension section (1 ten-line question about a short journal article. which is attached to the exam, 5 pts)
- The questions will require both knowledge and reasoning. Examples:
- What microscopy technique(s) would you use to study an object of the size of 50 nm? (Short answer)
- You need to study the entrance of a molecule into a eukaryotic cell membrane, without damaging your samples. You have unlimited funding: what kind of research would you plan? (Long answer)
- The attached article is missing its abstract. Please write one.
- You can take with you an A4 paper, written on both sides as much as you like, as a cheat-sheet.
