companies in creating markets and connecting with opportunities. Game-changing products and services disrupt industry conventions and
challenge the way we live, making the design of such products and
services key for business. Leading companies are not simply applying
design, but manage design and designers strategically in new business

Moreover, in a fast-paced business environment where design is commonplace, new formats for combining design expertise and business intelligence in adding agility and flexibility to structures and processes are increasingly needed.
In the Design and Creativity in Business course, we explore this new domain in the intersection between design and business studies. Together, we will tackle how design add value to contemporary business and how new business models fuel opportunities for design and vice versa. We will use practices and theories from design and business studies to explore, analyze and generate business opportunities as well as articulate their value to customers.
Upon completion of the course, we hope that you will be able to
bridge theories and practices in business and design in thinking anew on
the role of design in business and business in design; helping you to
establish a baseline for further studies at the intersection of the two
