This course is about the mathematical foundations of randomness underlying most applications of probabilistic models and statistics. The main focus is measure-theoretical probability which allows a unified treatment of discrete and continuous spaces and distributions in a powerful framework. The course starts on Tue 7 Jan 2020 at 8:15. The course is taught by:
- Prof Lasse Leskelä (lectures)
- MSc Joona Karjalainen (exercises)
See course syllabus for details about materials, practicalities, and grading.
