MS-E2170 - Simulation - Spring 2020
Credits | 5 cr |
Teaching period | IV |
Learning outcomes | The course gives basic skills for analysis of queueing phenomena through discrete-event system simulation. |
Content | Monte
Carlo simulation of systems including discrete events and queues:
random number generation, construction of models, input models, output
data analysis, model validation. |
Assessment methods and criteria | Assignments
and a project work. At each week, two home assignments are given. The
assignments are returned within two weeks. The project work is a
simulation study conducted by a group of 1 to 3 students. |
