This section will contain material used/discussed during the contact sessions. Note that the material stored here will most likely not be thorough enough for you to pass this course with!

Here you can find the answers to the first problem of the stoichiometry problem set we worked on during the last contact session. If you would like to check your answers for Problems 2-4 in that set, let me know your answers and I will tell you whether they are correct. Or, if you need help with solving them, let me know and I'll try to steer you in the right direction!
6th contact session 1.10.19 Folder
Here you can find some redox-balancing problems I handed out during this contact session. The difficulty more or less increases from Problem 1 to Problem 4. Problem 4 nicely illustrates how handy the half-reaction method of balancing is!
The lecture file includes a walk-through for Problem 3. For the rest of the balancing problems you can check your answers yourself: calculate the amounts of atoms and charge on both sides of your total reaction. If nothing is missing, you have done the balancing correctly! I'm also happy to give you some hints if you wish.

8th contact session 8.10.19 Folder
9th contact session 10.10.19 Folder
10th contact session 17.10.19 Folder
Here you can find some extra exercises that can help you in the preparation for the exam. If you're interested in checking your answers for the calculations, just send me an email or a message and I can take a look at your work!
End of Period I
11th contact session 28.10.19 Folder
Here you can find some extra stoichiometry problems dealing with gases and the ideal gas law. Try to do the problems yourself before checking the answers!
12th contact session 31.10.19 Folder
Here you can find a couple of problems related to flue gas, and the answers to those. Exercise 5 includes one flue gas calculation, so it's good to take a look at these problems and the examples in Lesson 7 to get the hang of these calculations.
13th contact session 4.11.19 Folder
Fixed a writing error
14th contact session 7.11.19 Folder
Here you can find some extra Lewis structure problems to practise on (and the correct answers as well). These types of problems are pretty difficult to program into MyCourses, so Exercise 6 is perhaps a bit too straightforward.
15th contact session 11.11.19 Folder
16th contact session 14.11.19 Folder
The rest of the course will deal with chemical equilibria. I added some extra material into this section on where the equilibrium constant K originates from. These bits (thermodynamics & kinetics) are not part of this course, but if you are interested, you can take a look at these sections in the book!
17th contact session 18.11.19 Folder
This session included some extra calculation problems dealing with equilibrium. Answers are also included.
18th contact session 21.11.19 Folder
19th contact session 25.11.19 Folder
20th contact session 28.11.19 Folder
Here you can find some extra problems to practise acid/base calculations with. Answers to these problems have also been added. The lecture slides provided are extra material for those interested, and are not part of the course (you do not need to know how to do this in the exam).
21st contact session 2.12.19 Folder
22nd contact session 5.12.19 Folder
Here you can find some extra exercises that can help you in the
preparation for the exam. If you're interested in checking your answers
for the calculations, just send me an email or a message and I can take a
