When to attend the Master's Thesis Process course?
This course focuses on the initial stages of the Master's thesis. Therefore, it is recommended that you attend the course when you have just started or are about to start your master's thesis project . Your thesis topic must have been agreed on with your supervisor at the latest soon after the start of this course. Nevertheless, the course content is also applicable at later stages of your Master's theses. The course is organised twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, i.e. the following round will be in autumn 2020.
How to find a Master's thesis topic?
General information about topic search is available in Into. If you were unable to find a topic on your own, contact the professor in charge of your major (CE students contact Mika Nupponen). The departments will always offer a topic when a student needs one (Note: Topics offered by your department are not usually paid positions). On this forum you can contact your group members, i.e. this discussion is visible only within your group.
- Please indicate here in which language you will write your Master's thesis. This information is used to allocate the correct language teacher for the second part of this course (i.e. writing the Introduction Chapter).
Questions concerning the course and the master's thesis in general can be posted here.
