When meeting new people, successful networkers make lasting first impressions on the back of captivating personal elevator pitches. Networking is all about putting yourself on display engaging an audience to learn more! Crafting a captivating, short and deeply personal snippet of you is an investment worth making.
For example, "I am a Senior Lecturer in High Growth Entrepreneurship at Aalto University" - a snippet that is factual but not that really inspiring or memorable
versus
"I help individuals discover and nurture the entrepreneur within" - 9 words, no job title and a natural bridge for the listener to make small talk - how do you discover entrepreneurs? What is an entrepreneur? What sort of nourishment do they need? Who pays you to do that? Oh and by the way it is genuine - if you don't have a depth of domain experience doing it, you shouldn't be broadcasting it!

SUBMIT YOUR ONE-TWO SENTENCE PERSONAL ELEVATOR PITCH IN PDF FORMAT. WE WILL BE REVISITING THESE PITCHES DURING THE CONNECTOR NETWORKING MINGLE(S) IN AUGUST.We often associate an Aha moment with a lightbulb. But to get light, you need a socket that fits the bulb (a connection), the means to access power (positive first impression). What often seems like serendipity is in fact "planned luck". Consider this check list as a living canvas for honing in on the quest of finding your Aha moment. It may come at the Zoom Networking Mingle or it may not -- but it will give you a better sense of how to develop your network strategically. Prototype this as many times as you would need.
When you have a document that you are prepared to share with the group, submit in PDF format here.
