    • Our Conference simulation will be held in Zoom next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, starting at 9.00 am sharp on all days. Each one of you is expected to attend one full day, i.e. the day when you are presenting: P01, P02 and P03 on Monday; P04, P05 and P06 on Tuesday; P07, P08 and P09 on Wednesday. During that day, you will act as chairperson, presenter, and audience member.

      Here are the instructions for the conference simulation. Please read them carefully. The schedule is below these instructions.

      1. During the day that you attend the conference, please come to Zoom by 8.55 am so that we can start the presentations on time.
      2. Your small groups have the same numbers P01-P09 that you had in the small group sessions.
      3. The conference will have nine main sessions (three per day), please see the schedule below.
      4. In each of the main sessions, members from one small group will give their presentations according to the schedule below. The other groups will act as audience, and their responsibility will be to ask questions from the presenters.
      5. To help us stay on schedule, please have your presentation open on your computer before your group’s session so that you can then easily start sharing your screen when it’s your time to present.
      6. To help us stick to the schedule, please be on time for each session.
      7. When your group is presenting, remember that you will chair each other’s presentations as agreed in the consultation sessions. Your responsibilities as a chair include:
      • introducing the speaker
      • managing time during the speaker’s presentation (7 minutes) and questions (7 minutes)
      • thanking the speaker after the presentation and inviting questions from the audience
      • finishing the session on time (total 15 minutes per person including the introduction, set-up time etc.; if necessary, the Q&A will be shorter than 7 minutes) and
      • thanking the speaker once more.

      Remember that when it’s your group’s session, your group will be expected to run the session independently from the beginning to the end. So, the first chairperson starts the session on time and the last chairperson ends it after the session’s last Q&A has finished.
