On this page you can find instructions for choosing your "pet quasar", obtaining information about it, and writing up everything to your study diary.
Flux data for the "pet quasars" Folder
Attached are the Metsähovi 37 GHz data for the "pet quasars" of this course, to be used in your study diaries. Please note: a large fraction of these data are unpublished, and they should not be used for other purposes or distributed to other parties without our consent.
The data are given here in comma-separated text format (CSV).
The data columns are:
Observing time in "decimal year" format (easier for plots etc.)
Observing date and observing time UTC
Sourcename (as used in our own source list)
Observing frequency, GHz
Metsähovi internal "catalog" assignment
Flux density, Jy
Aterisk for S/N > 4 detection
Uppper limit (Jy) for non-detection
The fully processed data now reach until end of October 2020. For the very latest data points refer to the flux curves available at our public web page:
There the attached panel on the right of each plot shows a zoom-in view of the most recent data (from ca. a year's time), including the most recent measurements. Please note that the unprocessed data points in the plot, printed in red, are quicklook data that have not been properly amplitude calibrated yet, and they may also still include some bad data points -- do not draw too far-reaching conclusions based on single quicklook data point, but if you see a rising/falling trend, it is probably true.
