Dear participants of the exam Coding Methods D, ELEC-E7240, 24.2.2021,

The exam will take place as an open-book exam and you will not need to go to the university to participate in the exam.

Please note that the exam questions will be slightly different than in the previous exams, as this is an open-book exam and questions that can be copy-pasted from the slides cannot be asked.

Although the exam is open-book, you are only allowed to use the slides of our course, which are even mandatory to use, other course material, course books, and a calculator, of course pen, paper, a computer to download and show the exam and to upload the answers, and a mobile phone with camera or scanner to take pictures of your answers. In particular, no interaction with other people is permitted. The exam is based on trust.
Please see https://www.aalto.fi/en/services/digital-assessment for the official "Guidelines of electronic exams" which especially follows the "Code of Academic Integrity" (linked therein).

Please note that the usage of the slides ( https://mycourses.aalto.fi/pluginfile.php/1424715/mod_folder/content/0/slides1.pdf ) is required.

It is necessary that you are a participant in our MyCourses page https://mycourses.aalto.fi/course/view.php?id=28560 . Make sure that you see the assignment called "Exam 24.2.2021" on the "Course home page". Please check this and if there is a problem, send an e-mail to Patric Östergård ( patric.ostergard@aalto.fi ) and Daniel Heinlein ( daniel.heinlein@aalto.fi ) as soon as possible.

As soon as the exam starts ( 24.2.2021 16:30 ), you will have access to this assignment and find the PDF with the questions to download. Download it, process it using the slides and upload your answers until the end time of the exam plus an additional 15 minutes to allow you to craft your submission ( i.e., the deadline is 24.2.2021 19:45 ). You may write your answers on paper and take pictures and upload these. Make sure that they have high quality. Write your name on each page and ensure that the pages are in the correct order and correct orientation.

If you don't have the technical means to take a picture of the papers or expect to have some technical disadvantages contact Patric Östergård and Daniel Heinlein as soon as possible.

If you cannot upload your answers for some reason, then send them to Patric Östergård and Daniel Heinlein per e-mail before the end time of the exam.

If there are any questions, please ask Daniel Heinlein and if you encounter any technical problems, write to Patric Östergård and Daniel Heinlein.

      Sincerely,
      Patric Östergård and Daniel Heinlein
