Welcome to the course Geodesy and Positioning!

We will get to know the basics of geodetic measurements, their applications and theory behind. The course consists of ten lectures, one excursion, five excercises and a mini-exam.

Before the first lecture, please answer this Attendance query.

    For the exam: Chapters 2-8, 12-13, 17-18 (not 4.4-4.10, 17.3) and lecture notes/slides

    Evaluation:
The course is accomplished by returning five assignments (30 points each, scaled to 15 final points (=divided by ten)) and doing the mini-exam (15 points), with total of 30 points. Participation in Metsähovi session is also compulsory, not graded.

All the assignments need to be returned and accepted with at least 10 point and the exam needs to yield at least 50% of the points to pass the course. The limits for the grades are:
    Points      Grade
      15-17       1
      18-20       2
      21-23       3
      24-26       4
      27-30       5
