• Collaborative workspaces
  • In small groups, try writing a paragraph using the PEEL formula. Time: 15 minutes.
    Be creative and put theory into practice! (Contents: fiction not necessarily facts; Structure and language: academic). Choose an empty etherpad below, work together and copy your paragraph to the padlet (link posted in WS3)
    
    POINT:  Write down three reasons why your chosen color is the best (or worst) to use in (name the specific context).
                   Put the name of your chosen color and specific context into the following sentence:
                   There are three reasons why __________ is the best/worst color to use in ____________ .
    
                   Examples: red …. in clothing for competitive sports.
                                green … in an office space.
                  This is the main point (topic sentence) for your paragraph.
    EXAMPLE - Next, add the supporting details
                  The reasons why it is effective or ineffective for this context/usage.
                  You could start with
                      Firstly ... and so on, until you have given all your reasons. (metalanguage&transitions!)
    EXPLAIN - Be sure to explain/evaluate each example (e.g. provide details) - why it is the best (or worst) for the given context     and the current argument you are making

    LINK - Finally, you'll need a closing sentence. You could try something like
