The main goals this week are two-fold: 1) to fine-tune the presentation that you drafted in Week 2, and 2) to explore visual support for your presentation. In this course, you are free to utilize any kind of digitalized visual support in your presentation. The most common tools are Powerpoint and Prezi.
You probably have many experiences with seeing visuals used in presentations as well as with using them yourself. You most likely have some ideas already of what kinds of visuals you like when you are an audience member.
The assignments consist of five short videos with quizzes, which prepare you for doing the three related assignments. In Assignment 9, you will refine your presentation introduction and conclusion. Then, in Assignment 10, you will study/read more about visual design for presentations and then share your findings and earlier experiences with the rest of the group in a Forum. You will also learn more from your classmates regarding their findings and views on slide design. In Assignment 11, you will create your own set of visuals and include some thoughts to justify your choices in your slide design.
