Topic outline

    • Here you can ask questions from the lecturer and the assistants. It is also ok for other students to participate in discussion and to help others, but please do not post entire solutions to homework assignments, just hints!
    • Teachers are not always here. We will see how popular remote help is compared to contact teaching on campus. If many students prefer remote help, then we can decrease the amount of contact teaching so that the teachers will have more time to answer the questions here. We will see how everything works and the practises can be changed if something does not work.
    • If you don't want to ask publicly for help, you can also write an email to you teacher (homework related questions to assistants, more theoretical questions to the lecturer).

    LaTeX

It is possible to type math formulas with LaTeX syntax. Start your equations with \( \( \) and end with \( \) \).

      • Here you can ask questions about lectures and lecture notes.
      • There will be a separate place for getting help with homework assignments.
      • For non-math questions, you can use the discussion group on the front page.
      • Try to use topics that describe you question or topic you are discussing well. E.g. "One more question" is a bad topic, "Convergence of Fourier series" is much better.
    • Here you can get help form the assistants for the first set of homework assignments.

      1. Check first that no-one has asked already the same question.
      2. Include the question number to the topic of your question so that others with similar problems can  find the thread more easily.
