Topic outline

  • The grading consists of five principal components: the exam, quizzes, homework, blogs, and excursions. The total grade is formed as a function of the exam points and other points (sum of all quiz, exercise, blog and excursion points). The weighted values of the other points are as follows:

    • Quizzes: 30%
    • Exercises: 40%
    • Blogs: 20%
    • Excursions: 10%.

You need to get at least half of the exam points to pass the course (see Exam requirements for content covered in the exam), as can be seen from the following illustration. The other grade limits will be set at the end of the course. Technically, the maximum grade (5) can be achieved by just getting a perfect score in the exam and ignoring other components, but this is definitely not a recommended strategy.
