      FURNITURE FOR STORING SOMETHING Tehtävä

      What can an innovative storing furniture be? Think of storing from fresh point of view. What are the benefits of using wood in this new kind of furniture?

       

      Task

       

      -You will get a massive birch wood board in size 20 mm x 910 mm x 1800 mm that you make your work of.

       

      -Size of your object is up to your design, the maximum amount of material is mentioned above.

       

      -Your storing furniture can be a seat, a shelf, a table or something totally different…

       

      -We expect your work to be innovative, reasonable in construction and beautiful.

       

      -Your furniture is meant for interior use, not outside.

       

      -Think of the role of wood in your design.

       

      Wood material to use

       

      - A massive birch wood board in size 20 mm x 910 mm x 1800 mm

       

      Final presentation

       

      -Work in 1:1 scale

       

      Timetable

       

      20.04. 2021                 First meeting and Intro at 10.00 AM

       

      06.05.2021                  Semicritics at 10.00 AM

       

      28.05.2021                  Final critics at 13.00 PM, final model made ready.

       

      Tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 2 groups in lecture room (mentioned in My Courses) and later in Wood workshop 9.00-12.00, Other meetings by separate agreement.

       

      Works will come to an exhibition together with our works that were realized of same birch material in period III this year.

       

      However, we are working according to circumstances that we are living at the moment, and so the changes are possible.
