  • Grading & Attendance

    The maximum points you can earn is one hundred. Different course elements will grant the points as following:

    • Introductory essay                                 15 
    • Lectures                      6 x 2 + 2 x 4 =   20
    • Mini-essays                             5 x 4 =   20
    • Group assignment                                 20
    • Reflection essay                                    25 

                                             Altogether =      100 points

    The points presented above are maximum points from each course element. Active participation to the lectures will earn you two points from each lecture despite the second and the last lecture which will give you four points each. Mini-essays will give 0, 2, 3 or 4  points each depending on the quality of the essay. To learn more about the grading principles check out the Assignment section.

    To pass the course you have to collect half of the points (50) or more, and earn points from all the course elements. The grade limits are following:

    > 85       => 5

    77-85     => 4

    68-76     => 3

    59-67     => 2

    50-58     => 1

    < 50       => 0
