  • The resources for the 3rd week (calendar week 39) of the course.

    During the third week we will study basic techniques for virtualization, which is a central theme for the course altogether. We focus on the classical process abstraction.

    During lecture session on Monday (2020-09-27) we studied how multiprogramming can be implemented with the process abstraction.

    • If you did not attend the lecture, watch it instead. It has roughly the same contents as the lecture.

    The course exercise sessions will continue also on Monday (2020-09-27), the 2nd exercises session concentrated on the 2nd exercise round. In the session, you can meet the assistants if you need more advice (note that for basic advice we the discussion forum, see below).

    • The week is a good time to do the second round of exercises, which addresses computer systems in general.
    • There are some related notes on performance modeling and analysis (see below)
