  1. ASSIGNMENT INFO 

  These assignments are part of both TPO, lecture (intensive) and TPO, essay (self-paced) study options. The assignments are:

  1. (a) Topic Development OR (b) Literature Safari
  2. 100 Thesis Ideas
  3. Department of Design Theses
  4. ARTS Thesis Guidelines

  At the bottom of this page you'll find submission box which contains also assignment instructions.

  In TPO essay (self-paced) study option, deadline to submit assignments is Friday June 3, 2022. Submitted assignments will get feedback and comments when necessary (e.g. misunderstandings, literature recommendations, answers to questions).
  

  2. GRADING OF THE ASSIGNMENTS AND COURSE

  All assignments in both TPO options are graded with fail-revise-pass-distinction. TPO essay (self-paced) is graded with 0-5 as follows, based on how well assignments and quiz response meets the instructed requirements:

  • 1-11 Fail: Course grade 0 (irrespective of how assignments are doing otherwise). However, if one or more of quiz responses is graded as Failed, teacher will ask student to submit assignments, which may lead to reconsideration of grade (in other words, if quiz is not satisfactory, grading will be done based on TPOessay assignments.
    
  • 3-4 Revise: Course grade 1 (irrespective of how assignments are doing otherwise)
    
  • 1-2 Revise: Course grade 2 (irrespective of how assignments are doing otherwise)
  • 0-3 Distinction: Course grade 3 (provided there're no grounds for lower grade)
  • 4-6 Distinction: Course grade 4 (provided there're no grounds for lower grade)
  • 6-11 Distinction: Course grade 5 (provided there're no grounds for lower grade
