  Implementation:

  1. Students are encouraged to discuss their answers in groups during the exercise session. Instructor will provide help whenever needed.
  2. Exercise questions will be published on MyCourses one week before each exercise session.
  3. Answers should be returned to MyCourses. The deadline is 2 hours after the exercise session. Answers can also be returned on paper during the exercise session.
     
  4. Students are expected to work on the problems on their own beforehand. The exercise sessions are meant for discussing and getting help with the problems which you couldn’t solve on your own. Note that if you come to the exercise session completely unprepared, you might not have enough time to finish all the problems during the two-hour session.
  5. Remember to mark your presence in the exercise session.
  6. Solutions to each exercise will be uploaded to MyCourses soon after the deadline. Therefore, late submissions will not be considered.
     

  Grading:

  1. Total 0.4 points per exercise.
  2. Each exercise consists of 2-4 questions.
  3. Full points are given for correct and complete answers, and zero points for incorrect/incomplete answers. Remember to mention the relevant equations/explanation in your answers.
  4. Exception: If you actively participate the exercise session, then you can get full points for your answers even if they are not exactly correct or not totally finished (remember to mark your presence!).
  5. Points from exercises 1-4 will be summed and rounded to the nearest half point (i.e., 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 or 2 points). These points will then be added to mid-term exam 1. Similarly, points from exercises 5-8 will be rounded and added to mid-term exam 2.
