Digital citizens

    Digital citizens

    • With the scope of IT expanding, there is an acute need to develop and maintain digital ethics, especially when considering the scandals in the press and the public discourse.

Many professions have specific ethical codes. However, in the field of IT, ethical codes are less common, less developed and less prominent.

However, technology does not exist outside reality and it is not neutral. Rather, it models and reflects a worldview of its designers. Yet, and despite this threat, we – digital thinkers, researchers and creators, engineers, computer scientists and so on rarely address the ethical issues facing us.
